City of Richmond Volunteer Program: “Excellence Serving our Community”
In January 2012, the City of Richmond was awarded a two-year grant by the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation to plan and implement the Cities of Service model in our city. Through a citywide ballot in October 2012, Richmond’s program model was branded by the community as “Excellence Serving our Community (ESC).”
The City of Richmond is honored to have so many interested residents engaged in building our community into a city that serves. Richmond ESC would not be possible without the help of our volunteers.
